design asylum

PROJECT: business card design

I came up with logo ages ago in college and dusted it off when I began freelancing. I wanted the logo and type to compliment each other and to reflect the name, design asylum, in a stark and dynamic way -- distressed type, the building drawn with line variation and outlines/shadows. I was not going for edgy, grungy, or slick. I added an illustration to the back as a surprise and for a bit of fun. The mouse, maze, and cheese sum up the creative process for me -- I'm always working to reach a happy outcome (and the cheese.)
